PhotoHunt#80 Foreign

>> 3/06/2010

There's always something exciting and interesting when traveling in a foreign land. China is one of the countries that I find really fascinating. Different language, different people with their different culture and just about different everything.

Forbidden City,Beijing,China
This photo is of one of the buildings inside the Forbidden City in Beijing, China. Forbidden City is the world's largest surviving palace complex and it covers about 72 hectares. One day is just not enough to see all of the complex which was home to the Chinese Emperor and his household from Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. Inside one can see a glimpse of how the Chinese royalty lived and how were they different from the people outside the palace gates.

This is my entry for:

Litratong Pinoy#87 Kalikasan(Nature)

>> 3/04/2010

Enigmata,Camiguin Island, Philippines

The summer is near and so, a lot of people are already looking for their vacation destinations. The island of Camiguin is one of the more well-known places for vacationers.

In Camiguin, nature is still near because if we compare the island to Boracay or Baguio,  the island has fewer developments and the existing buildings are still few.

Pilipino:

Enigmata,Camiguin Island, Philippines

The Enigmata is a well-known inn in Camiguin Island. It has rooms in the treehouse. The place is surrounded by many trees and unique example of arts like those statues in the photo.

This is why when we slept in this place last year, I had this feeling that I was a relative of Tarzan.

For more details about Enigmata, go here.

Pilipino:

Get Higher Return On Your Pag-IBIG Membership

>> 3/03/2010

If you're saving your money in the bank or with other financial institutions, it's likely that the little interest they earned are eaten up by the withholding taxes. There's a little-known government program that is not only government-guaranteed, tax-free but also earns dividends higher than most financial institutions can offer.

Pag-IBIG Fund II membership is for all active Pag-IBIG regular members. The minimum monthly contribution is P500.00 per month and earns preferential annual dividend that is higher than the regular Pag-IBIG (Pag-IBIG I) contribution. Its maturity term of 5-year or 10-year is shorter than the Pag-IBIG regular contributions maturity term of 20 years.

For 2009, Pag-IBIG Fund declared a 5% dividends for its Pag-IBIG regular members which was applied to the total accummulated value of the member's contributions.

Pag-IBIG II membership contribution is not eligible for multi-purpose loan. But because Pag-IBIG II contributions earn higher interest yield and  are tax free, your money earns better returns. For more details, go to their website at http://www.pagibigfund.gov.ph/
