Ruby Tuesday#27 Divine Mercy Hills

>> 12/01/2009

The tallest statue of Jesus Christ in the Philippines is located at Divine Mercy Hills. The statue is 50 feet tall and is located atop a hill overlooking Macajalar Bay. It is about 30-45 minutes away from Cagayan de Oro City.

Yes, Willa..you can climb up to the heart of statue but you have to ask the permission from the administrator. There's an altar there wherein the Blessed Sacrament is being housed.

What an impressive statue. Nice photos of it. I like the way the "fabric" flows.

wow..that is one tall statue marites!
and it is in the philippines!
you know, i am not one for statues but i think this tall one of jesus is just choice..
if a person doesn't believe in the existence of god in that country, just looking at this will constantly be reminding that person that there IS a god up in heaven who sent his well beloved son into this world to save us.

i really love your post!
thanks for your visit!....love terry

ps..oh marites, i just love the question asked by willa..it really touches my heart!
